Flash is differen't from Iso. You may use flash when it's dark to brighten an area. You use ISO when you want to allow more light to show more color with taking color away. The higher the ISO no. gets, the grainer the picture gets. One of the bad things is that you must stand still or the picture will come out blurry. My pictures get brighter because I use a higher ISO in the picture.
